Interstate Etiquette 101 inspired after my morning commute...

The speed limit may be 65mph. In some areas, it is 70mph. However, it is common knowledge the left lane is for passing or for the people that drive at higher speeds.

If you are in no hurry or your car simply cannot go over the set speed limit, please remain in the right hand land. If you are unsure which is the right side, look for your gas pedal. It is on the right side.

When you are in the right lane and wish to appropriately use the left lane for passing, check your rear view mirrors first. Count to 5 slowly and if the blur in the distance is a distinguishable car by the time you reach five WAIT 30 seconds and that person will be past you and then you may pass.

I should never have to decrease my speed by 15mph to allow you the 30 seconds you need to pass someone.

I should also never have to pass you in the right lane because you are crusing in the left lane at 60mph.

That's all I've got to say!!!
